Giving Kudos to Brilliant Content

GKBCinc Short Story Competition 2013: The Results – Phase 2

The second phase of the competition closed December 31st. Again, a massive thank you to all who submitted their wonderful pieces of fiction to our short story competition.  We received 105 entries between July and December, and whittling that down to a shortlist of 15 was extremely difficult – the eBook will be packed with some amazing pieces of fiction.

the winners!

A massive congratulations to Matty Millard who won the second phase with his truly fantastic tale ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’. Check out what Mr Weaver had to say;

The clear winner. Brutal, funny, inventive, this cross between Grange Hill and The Hunger Games is wonderfully evoked. Its rules are clear, its characters fleshed out, there’s pace, tension and a suitably jet-black twist.

You can check out his winning story here. You can also see his author interview he kindly carried out for us on the site too. Second place goes to Marion Clarke for her deliciously dark story One Stop Beyond and third place goes Mifa Adejumo for her powerful tale Tolulope.
