After a busy festive period and New Year, Lukas Miguel of the Creative Academy has been a constant in a tumultuous few months at GKBC. He has been nominated Designer of the Month for his truly spectacular work in illustrations and showing a keenness to think outside the box with his design briefs. Check out what he had to say below.
Throughout her time here at the Creative Academy, Christina Wedberg has consistently produced outstanding design projects for us and continues to push her capabilities further as an accomplished designer.
She’s been an ever-present in the printables projects we have been giving out and keeps supplying continuously high quality designs for us to try and scrutinise. She kindly gave us a little insight to her life below.
It’s been a case of onwards and upwards this month at the GKBC Creative Academy as new members have joined our ranks, new and exciting projects are coming in thick and fast and the festive spirit is just starting to creep in now.

C. W. Ceram was the pseudonym of Kurt Wilhelm Marek, a German journalist and writer who was most noted for his works and opinions on archaeology – Götter, Gräber und Gelehrte which translated in English as Gods, Graves and Scholars: The Story of Archaeology in 1949. So how has he inspired so many designers with his most famous quote?

Well after an incredibly busy summer, us folks at The GKBC Creative Academy thought things may well wind down just a little bit with students going back to Uni, students venturing to Uni for the first time and people returning to their jobs after their blissful summer breaks. We were wrong.
Matt Holland was one of the very first members to join the Creative Academy and is currently the longest-serving member, reaching Conjurer level by consistently submitting fantastic quality photos that fitted the brief and well before deadlines! He’s shown an ever-present interest to do well for us here and constantly looks for ways to improve not only his own work, but ours too!
We interviewed Matt and here is what he had to say;
